Thanks Kimanie. I agree that I could have probably played with the background a bit more, maybe it's something I could revisit in the future. The end decision was based on staying true to the photographic reference as well as seeing if I could make the background look a bit out of focus and achieve a depth of field effect using the sharpness of vectors. I guess I could have just blurred the edges to accomplish that but then what would I have learned right? I appreciate the feedback, take care!
